CSLab VPN (Sonicwall)
The VPN gateway (sra122.cs.cityu.edu.hk) is established to allow iOS, macOS, Android, and Windows 10 devices to connect to the CS network via the "SonicWall Mobile Connect" app.
The app is available for iOS, macOS, Android, and Windows 10.
This VPN allows you to access CSLab internal network services and your lab/office desktop PCs, if applicable.
To access the VPN gateway from your device, please follow the steps provided.
Please note that this service is only available to CSLab users and is intended for teaching, learning, and research purposes only. Sharing your account with outsiders is strictly prohibited. Only one connection is allowed per user at any given time. Later login sessions will terminate any earlier sessions. Violation of CityU network user policies, as outlined at the following link, may result in the disabling of your account without prior notice:

- Install “SonicWall Mobile Connect” app from Play store / App Store / Windows10 store
- Open the “SonicWall Mobile Connect” app and add a connection, use sra122.cs.cityu.edu.hk as server name
- Open the connection and logon with your CITYUMD eid credential
- Upon successful connection, your device will obtain a 144.214.122.x IP address and you can access network resources of the CityU CS network.
- Each user can log on to one VPN session only. A logon from a new device will disconnect the existing device automatically.
- If the primary VPN gateway is unavailable due to failure or license limits, we have a backup VPN gateway (sma121.cs.cityu.edu.hk) that can be used as an alternative.
